jan 07, Batticaloa: Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) yesterday recommenced the public bus service between Batticaloa and Aryampathi after 18 years.
The bus service which links areas where Tamils and Muslims live was stopped in 1990 due to the rising of terrorist activities in the Batticaloa District.
According to SLTB sources, Kattankudi bus depot operates the service. There are 10 shuttles to be carried daily, the sources added.
